The later shots are probably about midday, and the shadows are going from left to right,
so the camera is probably looking west, and the track curves to the south as it goes around the bend.

As it turns out, the ballroom scenes were NOT filmed at Schönbrunn Palace, which considerably weakens the above observation. :(
